Jonas Bridges aka WoahitsJonas is an American social media star who became known for his lip-syncs and comedy videos on his TikTok profile @jonasbridges. He had initially gained popularity on YouNow before joining musical.ly, which became TikTok. He also has an eponymous YouTube channel, although he has not been active on either YouTube or TikTok for years. He continues to share pictures on Instagram.
Early Life
Jonas Bridges studied at Fort Mill High School, and later graduated from the South Carolina Connections Academy in 2019. As a child, he wanted to be a veterinarian and is still open to that career option outside of social media.
Career
Jonas Bridges had started his social media career on the live broadcasting platform YouNow in August 2015. He became known for ending every broadcast with the phrase “Stay beautiful!” He believes that starting his journey on YouNow helped him form closer bonds with his fans due to the nature of the livestreaming format which allows for interaction with his followers. In 2016, he had attended POMSCON (Part of My Story Convention) alongside fellow social media stars like Julian Jara, Cat Selman, and Geo Roman.
He subsequently joined TikTok back when it was still known as musical.ly and began his journey making a video with various hand-gestures. He eventually gained popularity on the platform for lip-sync and comedy videos. He retained his popularity on the platform after musical.ly was rebranded as TikTok. He had joined YouTube back in October 2015, but uploaded his first video, WEIRD FACTS, in March 2016. He went on to make pranks, challenges, vlogs, travel videos and tested and reviewed weird products.
Family Life
Jonas Robert Bridges III was born to Denise and Jonas “Rob” Bridges. He has an older sister named Niki. In 2016, he had made a musical.ly video next to his sick grandfather, when the latter was hospitalized, lip-syncing to the song Let Me Love You by DJ Snake featuring Justin Bieber. The video went viral for the wrong reasons and earned him criticism because many people thought he was insensitive and disrespectful since the song was not meant to cheer up his grandfather. He later admitted to being wrong about the video and mentioned seeking prayers for his sick grandfather. He is deeply religious.
Relationships
In a video, Jonas Bridges had mentioned being involved in four real relationships until 2016. He was in a relationship with Indian origin Filipino TikTok star Nupur Sharma in 2019-20. He first introduced her on the YouTube video, Saying YES to everything my girlfriend says for 24hrs !! (went too far), on January 29, 2019. He mentioned being attracted to her personality, rather than her looks. Later in April 2019, he made another video of him asking her to prom. They often collaborated with each other, participated in challenges and attended VidCon 2019 together. However, they seem to have separated in 2020 and his videos featuring her are no longer available on his channel.
