ZackTTG is an American YouTuber and former Twitch streamer who is known for his ZackTTG YouTube channel, which was previously known by the name The Traveling Gamer. His is primarily known for his basketball related content and his gaming content covering NBA 2K. He also posts vlogs and challenges, and shares the YouTube channel, 2HYPE, with five other content creators passionate about sports, especially basketball.
Early Life
ZackTTG attended Chino Hills High School, where he was a good friend of famous basketball player LaMelo Ball.
Social Media Career
ZackTTG started his career as a jack of all trades who bounced between jobs at restaurants, a bank, a golf course, a FootLocker, and eventually as a traveling electrical engineer. However, one constant thing in his life was his love for basketball, and by extension, his love for NBA 2K. It is through his love for the video game that he joined Twitch in 2015, to make and watch content about its gameplay, rotating cast of NBA players, and latest updates. While he primarily played various editions of the NBA 2K video game on the platform, he also occasionally played games like Madden NFL 19, Fortnite, and Among Us.
He had his YouTube channel since July 11, 2015, but uploaded the first video on the channel, My YouTube Channel: What to expect!, on September 30, 2016. Although he started out on YouTube with vlogs and challenges, he also made basketball themed videos on it. It took him only about 10 months to surpass 100k subscribers on YouTube.
ZackTTG, who shared his apartment with Jesse Riedel and Kristopher London, joined hands with them and three other fellow passionate NBA 2K players, CashNasty, Jiedel Riedel, and Moochie, to form the NBA 2K focused web group 2Hype in 2017. They had bonded over their shared love for the 2K games, but on their YouTube channel, 2HYPE, they wanted to cover more than just NBA 2K. The group crossed the milestone of one million subscribers on their joint YouTube channel in May 2020. Later in November that year, they became the first content creator collective to sign with the gaming and lifestyle company 100 Thieves. ZackTTG’s solo YouTube channel also crossed one million subscribers around a year later, following which he was interviewed by Tubefilter. By this time, he had become less and less active on Twitch before stopping live-streaming on the platform altogether. Currently, his primary focus is his YouTube channel, although he has created a TikTok profile, @zackttg, and is also active on Instagram and Twitter with the same handle.
Family Life
ZackTTG was born as Zack Mowley in Columbus, Ohio, but later lived in Los Angeles, California. He posted a picture with his girlfriend, blogger Jade Meadows, for the first time on Instagram in June 2019. She subsequently featured in several of his YouTube videos. The two got married in December 2021 and announced in February 2022 that they were expecting their first child together. Jade gave birth to their son in June 2022.
