English YouTuber True Geordie is best known for his popular YouTube series The Knockout and his podcasts, the True Geordie Podcast and The Kick Off. For his podcasts, he teams up with Laurence McKenna. Initially known as FootballFan533, Geordie earlier posted rants on well-known footballers and his favorite football club, Newcastle United. Early Life
True Geordie was born Brian Davis and is from Newcastle upon Tyne, England. Long before he became popular on social media, he launched his first YouTube channel on November 30, 2006. He began posting on YouTube regularly in 2013. In fact, his channel initially showcased content on football, including FIFA gaming videos and commentaries on well-known footballers and matches.
Social Media Career
True Geordie initially gained fame online as FootballFan533. He later chose the colloquial term Geordie, popular with people from the Newcastle area, as part of his pseudonym. He became a known face on YouTube after his video A True Geordie's view on Nile Ranger became viral. The video had Geordie ranting about former Newcastle United forward Nile Ranger. His channel now features countless series and has amassed almost 2 million subscribers.
One of his most popular series, The Knockout, had popular YouTubers watch the August 2017 fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor. The video has since gained more than 16 million views.
Another of his popular series on YouTube is the True Geordie Podcast. The podcast features him and Laurence McKenna, interviewing some of the best-known boxing, MMA, and UFC celebrities. It’s also available on iTunes.
He is also known for his series True News, which features his and McKenna’s reactions to the YouTube’s viral videos. Additionally, they host a football livestream series named The Kick Off every week.
Snippets from their podcast were initially uploaded to Geordie's other YouTube channel, True Geordie Xtra (which was earlier known as TG2).
The series The Kick Off has its own YouTube channel, which was launched on November 15, 2017. He has another podcast, The Pain Game, which again has its separate YouTube channel, launched on November 27, 2017. His Instagram account, truegeordieofficial, has earned him thousands of followers.
Controversies
True Geordie has been part of many controversies. He had a beef with UFC star Conor McGregor, who slammed him through a Twitter post. Geordie apparently came under fire from his fans too, when they dug out a series of screenshots of lewd texts that he had sent to a woman.
He also had a feud with YouTuber and WWE wrestler Logan Paul while hosting the Logan Paul vs KSI press conference. Logan apparently left the conference before Geordie could even ask the first question.
Family Life
While some social media platforms and sources claim True Geordie is single, there are others that state he has been dating a woman named Holly Davies since a long time. In fact, a few sources even claim that he has a child with Holly but has kept it a secret. He is a huge fan of the football team Newcastle United.
