Roxxsaurus is the online alias of Polish-English beauty YouTuber Roksana Janiszewska who is known for videos about fashion, outfits, hairstyles, make-up, eyeliner and product reviews on her eponymous channel. She also shares a second vlogging channel, Roxi and Matt, with her husband. She has launched her own merchandise, including unisex t-shirts, fitted tops and tote bags, manufactured from 100% organic cotton in a wind-powered factory.
Early Life
Roxxsaurus completed her A-Levels in photography, arts, and psychology before pursuing a foundation course in arts in college for one year. She studied visual communication in university, but quit after one year in 2016 because the course was getting unaffordable and she wanted to focus on her YouTube career.
Career
A talented artist, illustrator, and photography enthusiast, Roxxsaurus had started her career on Tumblr with her Roxart blog, but she did not gain much popularity until she started to create makeup tutorials. She was inspired to join YouTube in December 2012 by YouTubers like Marzia Bisognin and Promise Tamang (Phan), and made her first video, How To Make Your Own Lip Scrub (Lush Dupe), in July 2013. Early on, a lot of her videos were about hairstyles, especially braids, inspired by Tumblr. She quickly became known for her tutorials on how to look like celebrities like Cara Delvigne or fictional characters like Daenerys Targayen from Game of Thrones.
She was further inspired by Tumblr to make videos on her shoes, bags and eyeliner, as well as Halloween centered tutorials. She also recreated celebrity photoshoots and outfits, and analyzed tutorials and celebrity advice concerning make up, such as that of Doja cat. Alongside branded products, she often reviewed products from small businesses, including by her followers, and free products from Wish. She made videos evaluating the worth of expensive products and videos on spending on a budget. She also occasionally did food related challenges, like eating only pink food for 24 hours.
She is also a vlogger who launched her vlogging channel, RoxxsaurusVlogs, in March 2016. On this channel, she provided a behind-the-scenes look at her daily life and vlogged about her adventures with her friends. She also vlogged about meeting celebrities like Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Michelle Obama, and further recorded her trips to various destinations. However, she now shares the channel with her husband Matt and it has now been renamed to Roxi and Matt.
Family Life
Roxxsaurus was born as Roksana Janiszewska in Poland, but her parents moved to Rugby, England when she was just eight years old. She is fluent in both Polish and English.
She knew fellow social media influencer Matt Gibbs since she was 14 years old and they started dating in 2014. She had featured her boyfriend’s brother Anthony in the video FILMING A MY LIL BRO DOES MY MAKEUP! on her second vlogging channel in 2017. Matt proposed to her in March 2019 during a trip to Iceland and the two got married on September 24, 2023. Both she and her husband are vegan.
