PurpleStar02 launched her YouTube channel on June 14, 2013. Her debut video on the channel was titled FIRST VIDEO- Intro to my channel!!:)
She soon shot to fame with her lip balm collection that she showcased on the channel. One of her best-known videos on the platform was My Random Lip Balm Collection! She is also known for her incredible fidget toy collection. Over the years, she has amassed millions of followers on the channel.
She also often posts videos showing her babysitting a girl named Kalli. The two can often be found participating in shopping challenges, which show them buying things of the same color as their clothes.

PurpleStar02 is also known for her charitable initiatives. One of her die-hard fans, 8-year-old Holly, was diagnosed with stage-3 cancer back in 2021. When PurpleStar02 aka Kayla came to know about Holly’s situation, she contacted her family through social media and became Holly’s pen pal.
After strengthening her bond with Holly, she eventually visited her one fine day. The two shopped at Target, buying lip glosses and lip balms, including flavored Lip Smacker balms such as Springtime Smores! and Cuddle Me Creamsicle. Holly also got a glam makeover at the Red Rock Spa. The whole initiative was arranged by the Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada chapter.

Kayla often featured her brother, Scott, in her videos. In 2022, she started dating Daniel Hentosz.
