OmarGoshTV is the online alias of American YouTube personality Marco Antonio Escobar who started out making prank videos and later gained popularity for his videos about homeless people. He is now best recognized for his paranormal adventure videos and also has a vlogging channel called The Omar Gosh Vlogs. He is also known for his collaborations with fellow YouTubers James The Fam, Moe Sargi, ImJayStation, and Patty from The GTeam.
Early Life
OmarGoshTV studied videography and film-making at the University of South Florida. Prior to starting YouTube, he worked as a hairdresser. His old barbershop can still be seen in some of his videos.
Career
OmarGoshTV created his first channel in late November 2011 and started uploading with the sketch video, It's Dark in Here, in early December. He subsequently made several prank videos, some featuring his kids. He was still making videos from his old barbershop and also made prank videos around the theme of cutting hair. In June 2013, he created a second vlogging channel, although he still posted prank videos there, apart from behind-the-scenes looks at his pranks. In June 2014, in an attempt to teach his son about the homeless in their home state of Florida, he made a video in which they gave out new shoes and socks to people in need. He suddenly encountered a shirtless homeless man and ended up giving his own shirt, which he documented in the video, I Gave A Homeless Man The Shirt Off My Back, on his main channel.
The story was picked up by several news outlets and earned him popularity, following which he did another similar drive with the help of the charity Amazing Love Ministries in July 2014. He later did more videos about the homeless people, including one in 2015 in which he himself pretended to be a homeless man and asked people for money to see if they were generous, later paying them back with extra money. Another of his videos from 2016 showed him encountering a man who claimed that he got stuck as homeless for eight years after he traveled for work from Seattle to Florida to find a job but failed to get one. He bought the man a bus ticket so he could travel back to his family and the video quickly went viral. He has since then changed the focus of his videos towards paranormal activities and haunted adventures.
Family Life
OmarGoshTV was born as Marco Antonio Escobar. His first marriage was to Melissa, with whom he has three children: sons Ethan and Max, and daughter Melia. He often featured them in his videos, especially on his vlogging channel. However, he and Melissa divorced in 2018. He introduced his new girlfriend, Tiphanie Kiker-Holmes, in the video My New Girlfriend, from November 2018 and introduced her to his kids in March 2019. In May 2019, he made a video about proposing to her. Tiphanie has a daughter named Ariona and a son named Boston from previous relationships.
