Nick Bean is an American social media star and musician who rose to fame on YouNow before shifting to YouTube where he shares songs, comedy videos, pranks, challenges and vlogs. He also makes cross-dressing videos under the alter ego Saraslays101. He was a member of the musical group, 5quad, with Rudan Custodio, Timmy Connors, Edwin Burgos, and Zach Clayton and also collaborated on the channel Our Journey.
Career
Nick Bean joined YouNow in August 2014 and quickly became known for his sarcastic sense of humor and freestyle rapping ability which, combined with his charming appearance, earned him a huge female fan base that he named the mermaid squad. He uploaded his first video, Last New Channel, on his YouTube channel in March 2015. It was actually not his first YouTube channel, but he created a new channel because he was having issues with the people he was partnered with on the previous channel and also was not happy with the quality of his previous content. He started making pranks, challenges, and funny skits, but soon shifted focus towards music. On his YouTube channel, he often features a cross-dressing alter ego called Saraslays101.
Nick, who began producing music as a pre-teen, started taking music seriously after he joined the group 5quad in 2015 along with fellow YouNow stars Rudan Custodio, Timmy Connors, Edwin Burgos, and Zach Clayton. He released his first song, Netflix And Chill, in October 2015 through YouTube, followed by Wifi Wifey the next month, and both songs were very popular. He performed Wifi Wifey in each city during DigiTour's SlayBells Ice Tour with 5quad. He has since then released more solo songs like Stay, Bubblegum Girl and Lip Singer. As a part of 5quad, he has released an EP called TRENZ in December 2015, followed by the album Project 5 much later in 2020. He was also a part of the collaborative YouTube channel Our Journey with Loren Gray, Baby Ariel, Weston Koury, Mario Selman, Brennen Taylor and Zach Clayton.
Family Life
Nicholas David Bean moved to Texas in early 2015. He grew up with four brothers and a sister, and has featured his sister on his Instagram. He has also opened up about his strained relationship with his mother.
Relationships
Nick Bean has been involved with several partners over the years, which earned him the nickname “thot” during 5quad’s Ugly Little Liars broadcasts. He harbors a deep hatred for his first girlfriend, even stating that he felt physically ill after bumping into her in Walmart. He dated musically star Sky Raae in 2015-16. He also dated fellow YouNow broadcaster Madeline Phillips and they often broadcasted with each other, including one broadcast on September 26, 2015 in which they teased kissing for nearly two hours in front of 6k viewers. They broke up in November 2015, but briefly reconciled in February 2016 before breaking up again. At various points, he has been in relationships with Maddie Welborn, Bianca Sotelo, Magdalena Barnett, Corinna Kopf, Brittanie Nash and Skyler Elder.
