American YouTuber and social media star Lincoln Markham began his social media journey at age 8. He and his father, Dan, teamed up to create content for their YouTube channel What’s Inside?, cutting open various objects to show people what their insides look like. After gaining millions of subscribers, the duo launched their second YouTube channel, What’s Inside Family?, which focuses on family vlogs.
Early Life
Lincoln Markham was 8 when he was introduced to the world of social media by his father, Dan. Apparently, as part of a 2nd-grade science project, the father-and-son duo had to cut open sports balls, leading to the immensely popular YouTube channel What's Inside?
In August 2020, Lincoln joined Crimson Cliffs High. He studies business law and marketing and is set to graduate high school in 2024. He is a member of his high school golf team. He is also part of the National Honor Society and has been associated with DECA.
Social Media Career
Since starting his social media career as a child, Lincoln has amassed a huge following online. While his YouTube channel What's Inside? has existed since May 16, 2008, he made his debut appearance on the channel in January 2014. The channel has him and his father cut open various objects, such as toilets, athletic equipment, LED shoes, a MacBook, an Olympic torch, an electric bike, and the YouTube Gold Play Button, in a child/family-friendly manner. They have also created videos about Teslas and Play Buttons.
They have also been invited by Creator Insider and have been asked by fans to cut open monuments and mountains. The channel now has more than 7 million subscribers and over 1 billion views. One of the duo’s best-known videos, What's Inside a Rattlesnake Rattle?, has gained over 80 million views.
Their work has taken them around the world. Through the years, Lincoln has played basketball with Kevin Durant, met and worked with Bill and Melinda Gates for 4 years, and designed his own Nike Air Max shows with Tinker Hatfield.
Lincoln’s 2nd YouTube channel, What’s Inside Family?, mostly focuses on family vlogs and Q&As. It was launched on December 3, 2015, and has already gained over 2 million subscribers.
The father-and-son duo has also amassed more than 1.8 million followers on Facebook and has collaborated with Studio C. They have 364,000 followers on Instagram, too. Lincoln now studies marketing and wishes to help brands promote their products in future.
Family Life
Lincoln Markham’s collaborator and father, Daniel, or Dan Markham, was born in the Philippines and worked as a pharmaceutical sales representative before launching his YouTube career. Lincoln grew up with his 2 younger sisters, Claire and London. Their mother, Leslie, has also appeared on their social media content.
The family initially lived in Kaysville, Utah, and have now moved into a 3.5-million-dollar house in St. George, Utah. They also own 7 Tesla cars.
The Kaysville mayor had awarded them the Keys to the City, along with an official What's Inside Day for their achievement on social media.
