Justin and Adam later launched a LankyBox-branded food delivery service, too.
Early Life
Some sources state that Justin Kroma’s real name is Justin Leon Xu. He is also known by his nickname, Justie. Much before they gained social media fame, Justin and Adam debuted on YouTube as a duo, with a faux America's Got Talent video titled GREATEST TALENT AUDITION EVER!!!
Social Media Career
Justin teamed up with Adam McArthur to form the popular YouTube channel LankyBox. Nicknamed The Zero Budget Guys, the duo is best known for their Zero-Budget parodies and gameplays.
In their zero-budget series, they re-created music videos with zero-budget props, such as construction paper as backgrounds. Some of their most popular videos of this series include K-Pop With Zero Budget and Ariana Grande With Zero Budget!
However, YouTube’s copyright laws ended their zero-budget series. Following this, they launched a series on movie parodies, featuring Justin’s puns.
LankyBox is also known for their Guess the Price series, which had Justin and Adam test various products and then guessing the prices of those products. They also featured an Animated Stories series, which had animated versions of stories from their pasts. One such episode showed how Justin had tried to sneak into a theater showing an R-rated horror movie, in middle school. Other videos on their channels include the Noob VS Pro VS Hacker series, riddle videos, and compilations.
Justin and Adam’s primary YouTube channel, LankyBox, was created on July 30, 2016, and has garnered a huge subscriber count of 25 million. It has also gained 33 billion views. On December 29, 2019, Justin and Adam launched another YouTube channel, LankyBox World. This channel has gained more than 6 million subscribers and over 4 billion views. The various characters on their YouTube channels include Boxy, Foxy, Rocky, Ghosty, Canny, Milky, and others.
They also sell LankyBox merchandise on lankyboxshop.com. Their products include plush toys, adventure books, masks, stationery, posters, and apparel (such as onesies, T-shirts, and hoodies).
Justin is also known for his several alter-egos on his channels. He portrays himself as "thicc" and quirky. A foodie, he often eats up the food that is meant for the videos.
In November 2022, the duo began a food delivery service named LankyBox Kitchen. They operate from Chuck E. Cheese kitchens and deliver within 5-10 miles. Their menu includes pan pizzas, French fries, macaroni and cheese, salads, chicken wings, desserts, and beverages.
Family & Personal Life
Justin now stays in Seattle, Washington. Not much is known about his family or relationships, and it is believed he is extremely secretive of his personal life. Justin apparently once stated that he is asexual. However, the video in which he stated this was later deleted.
