Josh Darnit is an American social media celebrity who ruled Vine with his entertaining short videos before the platform shut down. He teamed up with his son Evan, also known as Evancredible, on Vine. He later launched a family YouTube channel, featuring his wife and all his children. Most of his content consists of funny gameplays, challenges, reviews, skits, and compilations. Equally popular on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, Josh was also nominated for a Shorty Award for Parenting.

Josh Darnit was born Josh Gaines. Not much is known about the California-born social media star’s early life or education. He first gained fame on the now-defunct short-media platform Vine.
Social Media Career
Considered one of the forefathers of Vine, Josh Darnit was one of the earliest stars of the platform when it was launched in January 2013 and ruled it before it shut down in 2017. He was catapulted to fame on Vine when he began posting short videos on his account with his son Evan, who was then a toddler. The topics of his Vine content varied from his son Evan’s fascination with seafood to his Saturday Night Vines. He later launched his son’s Vine handle, Evancredible. He also featured his daughter in a few of his Vine clips.
He and Evan were featured in an episode of the Eric Artell-hosted series Behind the Vine. Josh has also collaborated with several top-notch Viners, such as Brandon Calvillo and David Lopez. By the time Vine shut down, Josh had already amassed over 2 million followers on the platform.
Josh is also immensely popular on Twitter and has, over the years, garnered over 45,000 likes on the platform. Josh maintains an equally popular family channel on YouTube, which has amassed 120,000 subscribers since it was launched on February 13, 2014. The channel features entertaining content such as skits, gameplays, reviews, compilations, and challenges.

Family Life
Josh is married to Sarah. While most of Josh’s Vine videos were about his son Evan, or Evancredible, he has two more children, son AJ and daughter Johnna. AJ too became a Vine star as AJMG, whereas Johnna came to be known as JohnnaMazing on Vine.
