Shortly after finding her passion for social media, Issey Moloney left school, although she insists that social media was not the only reason behind her decision. She later mentioned completing her GCSEs before moving out of her parents’ house. She further mentioned trying to pursue college alongside social media, but could not do it herself, although she encourages others to finish education.

Issey Moloney had originally started using TikTok at the age of nine, when it was still called musical.ly. She was attracted to the fast-paced content format of the app, and the fact that there was always something new to watch. She had also started sharing pictures on her Instagram profile @x__issey__x in January 2019. She, however, rejoined TikTok when she was at an emotional low during the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Her parents had divorced, and following a house move and a school change, she was struggling with mental health issues and decided to open up about it on TikTok. She posted some personal videos of herself crying to send the message that it was okay to express one’s emotions openly. While she received a lot of trolling initially, she also got encouraging comments from people who felt less alone after watching her videos.
From the start, she was more interested in helping others than how many views she got. Nevertheless, she quickly gained a massive following on the platform thanks to her relatable point-of-view videos. Due to her popularity, she landed partnerships with brands like Amazon Prime, Netflix, YouTube, Jack Wills, Rimmel, and Look Fantastic. As someone who promotes up to eight tracks weekly through her videos, she has worked with labels like Universal and Warner & Sony to collaborate with celebrities like Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Elton John and Dua Lipa. Family Life
Issey Moloney’s parents are divorced. She has a younger brother named Oliver and a sister who has appeared in her TikTok videos but whose name is not known. According to her Backstage profile, apart from dancing and acting, she is skilled in horseback riding, surfing, gymnastics, cheerleading and rock climbing. She has previously dated fellow social media stars Callum Martin and Harry Spurling.
