Ian Paget is a British actor, dancer, model and social media star who started acting and dancing in Broadway productions before earning fame on TikTok with his then-boyfriend Chris Olsen in 2020. They also shared the YouTube channel Chris & Ian until they broke up in early 2022. Moreover, he has worked in film and television and launched merchandise in collaboration with Custom Ink.
Early Life
Ian Paget, who was born to a Honduran mother and attended a French grade school, is fluent in three languages: Spanish, French and English. He has stated that learning French changed his life. Both he and his sister grew up swimming competitively until high school. Then, he moved to Miami, Florida at the age of 12 after being accepted into the New World School of the Arts’ acting program for high school. He later pursued the Marymount Manhattan College Acting program in New York City and graduated in 2008.
Career
Immediately after graduation, Ian Paget booked the first of his three Broadway Shows. Between 2008 and 2011, he acted in the Mamma Mia! Broadway production. He played A-Rab in the West End sit down of West Side Story in May 2008, for which he earned the Laurence Olivier Nomination for Best Revival. In 2011, he performed as the principal dancer in the movie Rock of Ages (2012). It was followed by his work in another 2012 movie, Step Up Revolution. Also in 2012, he served as the dance captain for the original Broadway production of Leap of Faith, which was followed by another Broadway play, Soul Doctor. In the following years, he worked on several television series such as One Life to Live, Mozart in the Jungle, and The Queens Project. His other theatre credits include Gigi, Escape to Margaritaville, A Chorus Line and This Ain't No Disco.
Ian, who was already an established celebrity in the entertainment world, became extremely popular on TikTok after he started making funny videos in April 2020 with his partner Chris Olsen, whom he had started dating months before. The two also created the joint YouTube channel Chris & Ian in July 2020 and started posting vlogs, story time videos, TikTok compilations, and Q&A’s. However, they announced their breakup in January 2022 with the video We Broke Up. Later on May 17, 2023, they reconnected and discussed their breakup in the video Make up over Makeup on the e.l.f. Cosmetics channel.
Family Life
Ian Joseph Paget was born to American actor and director Robert Paget and his Honduran wife Iris Ramirez Benagas. He is the younger of two children of his parents and has a sister named Sacha Elizabeth Paget.
He met Chris Olsen online and appeared together at a Worldwide Event in 2019 before publicly acknowledging their relationship in 2020. They made videos on TikTok and ran a YouTube channel together, but announced their breakup in January 2022. They later stated that the pressure of fan expectation for them to be a perfect couple caused their breakup.
