American Viner, YouTuber, actor, podcaster, and music producer George Janko is best known for his funny sketches, vlogs, challenges, and reaction videos. Initially a Vine sensation, he later gained fame on YouTube too. He has also appeared on the podcast Implausive, with social media star Logan Paul. However, a heated discussion with Paul, regarding Christianity, made him quit the podcast and launch his own podcast instead. He has also released original music and has appeared in the horror film Follow Me/No Escape.
Early Life
Chicago-born social media star George Janko grew up in Arizona with his sister. He had been active on social media much before he became a Vine sensation.
Career
George Janko started posting on Vine in late 2014. The same year, he released his debut album, Without Fame, which was a hit on Vine and YouTube. His collaborations with Vine celebrities such as the Dolan Twins, Anwar Jibawi, Matthew Espinosa, and Amanda Cerny, earned him over 500,000 Vine followers. In September 2016, he started his YouTube channel, where he now mostly posts vlogs, challenges, sketches, music releases, and reaction videos.
His music video titled WHERE’S THE LOVE earned him more than 11 million views. His other popular videos include REACTION TO JAKE PAUL'S DISS TRACK !!! and REACTION TO LOGAN PAUL'S DISS TRACK !!! He is also popular on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
In 2020, Janko appeared as Dash in the horror film Follow Me, also known as No Escape. The film was about a social media star who travels to Moscow along with his friends to create new content for his successful vlog.
George Janko is also known for his close association with actor, wrestler, and social media star Logan Paul. They have co-hosted the podcast Impaulsive, along with YouTuber and podcaster Mike Majlak.
However, Janko left the podcast after Logan said he should see a therapist because he believed in God. Apparently, this was a result of a heated debate on Christianity on the podcast in August 2020. Several fans downvoted the video, reacting to Paul’s disrespectful reply. Following this, Implausive continued without Janko, while Janko launched his own podcast.
Janko has also endorsed quite a few brands, such as McDonald’s. He is also a budding entrepreneur and has launched his own fashion apparel line, replete with caps, jackets, and T-shirts.
Family & Personal Life
Janko is known to be particularly close to his mother, Caroline. Part of his Assyrian family, he has a sister named Sara. He has earlier dated model, health coach, and fitness specialist Shelly Scholten (Shelly Sho). He later started dating social media influencer and Instagram model Shawna Della-Ricca.
