FaZe Kay is an English YouTuber and Twitch streamer who was previously a member and one of the directors of the gaming organization, FaZe Clan. Starting out as Khattrisha, he became known as FaZe Kay after entering the FaZe House. Shortly after the FaZe Clan became the first ever gaming organization to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine, he was removed from the group for his involvement in a ‘pump and dump’ crypto scam.

Early Life

FaZe Kay attended Oxted School, where he received Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award. He participated in various sports including Basketball, Rugby, Running, and Shot Put.

Career

FaZe Kay created the YouTube channel Khattrisha on January 7, 2012 and uploaded his very first video, Kay: Minitage: #17, the very same day. He didn’t show his face until on February 13, 2012, when he uploaded the video My attempt at the "cinnamon challenge". He changed the name of his channel to FaZe Kay after joining the American eSports organization FaZe Clan on December 3, 2013. Although he initially made videos featuring first-person shooter games, he changed to more real-life content in 2016. He also often featured his younger brother, Jarvis, another member of the FaZe House, in his vlogs, challenges, and pranks. The two brothers later made a joint channel called Jarvis & Kay on July 5, 2019, followed by Jarvis & Kay Gaming on August 13, 2020 and Jarvis & Kay Shorts on September 12, 2020. Kay was also one of the directors of the FaZe Clan.

Controversy

FaZe Kay has been involved in various controversies over the years. In April 2018, he uploaded a video titled This 100 Year Old Man Played Fortnite And WON (My Grandpa) in which he claimed to show his grandfather playing the game and winning in the first try. However, many viewers felt that the video was staged as the person sounded very much like his brother Jarvis and was dressed up in a way to look old. The same month, he uploaded another video titled This 15 Year Old Kid Won A Game Of Fortnite Underwater In a Pool, in which he showed Jarvis winning a game of Fortnite underwater. However, he was using an Xbox 360 controller that was not supported by the game and the video clearly contained pre-recorded footage.

The most damning controversy of his career was the crypto scam involving Save The Kids altcoin that he and some other members of the FaZe Clan promoted to their viewers. After someone notified FaZe Clan about a possible scam, Kay was removed from the group while others including his brother Jarvis were suspended. He subsequently returned to YouTube and made a video claiming innocence while also accusing someone named Sam Pepper for the controversy.

Family Life

FaZe Kay, real name Frazier Khattri, was born to Nepali and English origin parents and has two brothers named Jarvis and Chandler. He dated Charlotte Parkes between 2018 and January 2020 and then Alexa Adams starting in 2021.
