Elliot Giles is a social media star who is best known for being the target of various pranks by his close friend and YouTube prankster Ben Phillips on the latter’s channel. He also has a couple YouTube channels, @elliotgiles361and @ElliotGiles, and actively vlogs on the latter. He further has a Twitch profile, Elliotgilesgaming, and is active on Instagram and Twitter with the handle, @elliotgilesuk. While he continues to be the target of Ben’s pranks, he also pranked Ben once by putting laxatives in his coffee.
Career
Elliot Giles started his social media journey on Vine in October 2014 and gained some following for sharing funny videos on the platform. However, his popularity skyrocketed after he began collaborating with Ben Phillips, who made video on YouTube primarily about pranking Elliot. Ben had originally started uploading random prank videos on his eponymous YouTube channel in February 2015, but his videos became popular after he started pranking Elliot the next month. Some of the classic pranks included Ben replacing Elliot’s hair gel with superglue, putting Viagra in his sports drink and placing him in a lake while he was sleeping on an inflatable mattress.
Elliot had created his own YouTube channel, @elliotgiles361, in September 2013, but began uploading videos of Ben pranking him on the channel starting with the video Ben Phillips | Hot Chocolate PRANK!!! in April 2016. In November that year, Ben published a book called Sorry Bro, which was in autobiographical style and spoke about Ben and Elliot's childhood and teenage life. It also came with activity pages, which included coloring pages, spitball targets of Elliot's face, dot to dot, plan your own pranks, and Elliot's anger-o-meter, with Ben reportedly taking Elliot’s photos by tricking him into thinking those were for family album. Elliot also accompanied Ben on the book’s release tour.
While Elliot stopped uploading videos to his original channel in September 2017, he had another channel, @ElliotGiles, since November 2015, and began uploading on it with the video I'VE GOT MY OWN VLOG CHANNEL!!!!! on October 9, 2018. In 2019, he became a member of Ben's broadcast channel called Brocast where Ben and his friends discussed weekly issues and pranks. He then joined Twitch in 2020 to play games like Fortnite Battle Royale and Call of Duty: Warzone with Ben and his friends. Elliot, who often uploaded challenge videos and trying out new/bizarre foods, recently returned to vlogging on his second channel in May 2023 after a gap of almost a year.
Family Life
Elliot Robert Giles was born to Welsh parents, but was reportedly found in a bush by Ben Phillips and his parents sometime in the late 1990s to early 2000s. He attended Brynteg School with Ben, according to the latter’s book Sorry Bro. In 2017, Elliot briefly moved out of his childhood home into Ben's new mansion called the Bro Mansion, but he returned to his childhood home a year later. He is shown as an alcoholic angry man in several of the pranks.
