Elise Ecklund is an American YouTuber who is best known for uploading original songs, song covers, and mostly music and instrument related videos on her self-titled channel. She also makes funny videos, vlogs, challenges, tutorials, and story-time videos on the channel. She is known for writing songs from fan comments on her social media profiles. She has also released original songs like Is This The End, Fake, Oof and Young Love.
Career
Elise Ecklund started her social media journey on YouTube in February 2015 when she created her eponymous channel. She uploaded her first video, Youth - Troye Sivan - Easy Guitar Tutorial, over a year later on March 11, 2016. While her first few videos were about song covers and guitar tutorials, she soon started posting variety content like WEIRD THINGS ABOUT AMERICA on April 15, 2016. She also posted other types of content including story-time videos, vlogs, yoga challenge, etc. Nevertheless, her content remained largely focused on song covers and instrument tutorials.
Although she initially used an acoustic guitar for her covers and even provided many guitar tutorials, she later started using the ukulele, which she thinks is a simple and fun instrument that anyone can pick up and play. Eventually, the ukulele became her signature instrument, and as her popularity grew, Flight, which makes ukulele, reached out to her in 2017 for a collaboration to launch three Elise Ecklund signature ukuleles from the brand. Apart from the instruments, she also made accessories for those instruments and a songbook.
In 2017, she gradually started to feature her family members, including her siblings and her mother, in her videos. She and her siblings performed All Star by Smash Mouth for one video, while her mother reacted to Twenty One Pilots music videos for another. She also made cooking videos, vlogged about her concert-going experience, made ukulele reviews, and took on challenges like living twenty-four hours on her balcony, cutting off part of her hair, and handcuffing herself to her sister for twenty-four hours. Another unique quirk of her is to write songs using the comments on her social media feeds. In fact, her series of videos about her songs written from Instagram comments and hate comments are the most popular content on her channel.
Family Life
Elise Ecklund grew up with five siblings: two older sisters and three brothers. Among them, her sister Eden, who is also a YouTuber, and her other sister Chantel, as well as her brother Brit have appeared in her videos, while her two other brothers do not appear due to privacy reasons. She also has a dog named Sunshine, adopted in 2017. She and Eden moved out in 2019 and shifted to an apartment in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
She met her future husband Bryan on the dating app Bumble after an intense Jojo Siwa concert in October 2019. She introduced him on her channel in June 2020. She announced their engagement via Instagram on December 31, 2020 and they got married in June 2021.
