Edward Centeno shot to fame with the YouTube channel Arcade Craniacs, which he co-launched with his girlfriend, Nikki, or Wwabisabi, on July 15, 2017. The channel mostly had content on arcade games, carnival games, and claw machine, and showed how people could win those games by cheating.

Many of their videos were about arcade games at Disneyland and carnivals and showed Nikki trying out and winning those games. The channel gained millions of subscribers within a short span and was aimed at adults. The first video on the channel that gained over 500,000 views was titled How To Cheat At Carnival Games.

However, with the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown, Edward was unable to upload quality content on his channel and thus started the 3AM series. Edward and Nikki initially heard a rumor about Chuck E. On October 12, 2021, they split, as Edward was apparently emotionally unavailable. Following this, Edward live-streamed himself crying and blamed himself for the split. However, his fans attacked Nikki online.
