EddieVR and Sauceddie are the online aliases of US-based Mexican gaming YouTuber Eduardo Saucedo, known for making fun videos about VR games on his EddieVR channel. He has an older channel named special edd on which he shares comic videos about non-VR games. He also often appears on his wife Gabrielle Anderson’s channel Gabby and is part of the group The Boys with JoshDub, Mully, Your Narrator, and JuicyFruitSnacks.
Early Life
EddieVR went to college to be a saxophonist, although he quit before completing his bachelor’s degree. Interestingly, his wife Gabrielle, who was his classmate, has a master’s degree in it.
Career
EddieVR originally started YouTube on April 18, 2016 with the channel Sauceddie, which is currently his secondary channel renamed to special edd. His first video on the channel was titled Ratchet and Clank PS4 Walkthrough Part 1 - Arguing With The Narrator!, where he stated he wanted to make videos because of his awesome voice, but the video is currently private. He revealed his early YouTube journey in the video Reacting to my FIRST video. CRINGE WARNING, in which he also admitted to making 700-800 early videos private on his channel. He also made many Minecraft videos that are now private.
His current oldest video on the channel is I Dare You To Keep a Straight Face While Watching This from 2018, where he mentioned a return to YouTube with a new setup. He continued to upload more video game-themed challenge videos, but it was not until he created his second channel, EddieVR, in August 2019 and started posting fun videos about VR games that his viewership picked up. His older channel also started getting more views and subscribers trickled in from the new channel thanks to the YouTube algorithm. After becoming a massively popular YouTube gamer, he became a part of the collaborative group The Boys.
Family Life
EddieVR was born as Eduardo Saucedo in Mexico, but is currently based in the United States. He has two pet cats named Visco and Chopo, and has featured them on his Instagram posts. He actually wanted only one pet, but his girlfriend Gabby insisted he adopted both because they were from the same litter.
He has been in a longtime relationship with fellow YouTuber Gabrielle “Gabby” Anderson, whom he first met in college when they were studying saxophone under the same teacher. Although he was in another relationship at the time, they became close following his breakup. They started dating in October 2014 and got engaged in January 2021. He revealed in 2021 that they would marry next year. While Gabby is sometimes called a “gold digger”, Eddie attested that she was by his side when he was a nobody living in a cockroach-infested apartment.
After popular celebrities like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Simon Cowell, EddieVR became the victim of a death hoax that claimed in early 2023 that he had died at 30. However, both he and his wife Gabby refuted such claims through their social media profiles.
