Demi Bagby is an American CrossFit athlete, bodybuilder, social media star, fitness coach and an entrepreneur. She suffered a fatal accident as a teenager and was left paralysed with a possibility of being in a wheelchair for the rest of her life. However, with her determination she not only got back on her feet but also ranked 23rd worldwide in the 2016 CrossFit Games athlete competition. She shared her recovery journey and post recovery transformation on her social media channels and gained tremendous fame. She now shares her fitness and lifestyle content on her various channels/accounts. She has worked with various brands, launched her fitness app — Demibagbyfit — and established her company— Rep Wax—as well.
Early Life
Demi Bagby went to Torrey Pines High School. From the beginning, she was an extremely athletic child and was a part of her school’s cheerleading and soccer team.
Social Media Journey
In the year 2014, Demi Bagby met with a fatal accident while practicing with her cheerleading squad. She broke her back and was left paralysed and bedridden for three months. She was 14 years old at the time and faced the possibility of never being able to walk again. She was devasted; however, while recovering, she learnt about CrossFit and calisthenics athletes and was immediately inspired. She decided to take these up if she recovered. After a tough battle, she finally overcame her challenges and was able to get back on her feet.
She soon began exercising and started her CrossFit and bodyweight training. Since she was still recovering, she faced difficulties; however, she persevered and made tremendous progress. In the 2015 CrossFit Games athlete competition, she ranked 517th overall rank in the United States in the category of Teenage Girls (14-15). The following year, she ranked 23rd worldwide and 21st in the United States.
Demi Bagby shared her recovery process and post recovery transformation on her social media channels and gained a lot of attention and fan following. She now shares her tutorials in bodyweight training and fitness as well as lifestyle content on her various channels/accounts. On her TikTok account, she posts her calisthenics, swimming, weightlifting and various other workouts videos. She is one of the biggest fitness TikTok influencers. On Instagram and You Tube too, she shares fitness, challenges, workouts, tutorials, travels and vlogging content.
Through her social media channels, she promotes various nutrition, sports and other brands. Some of these include Gainzbox, Black Rifle Coffee, Core Water, Super Coffee, Evolve Skateboards USA, Ruroc Helmets and GoJump America. She has been the brand ambassador of Gymshark, a fitness apparel and accessories company.
In January 2019, Demi Bagby founded the Rep Wax training grip product company. She has also launched an app – Demibagbyfit – for health workout. The year 2019 also saw her becoming a finalist in the 11th annual ‘Shorty Awards’ in the category of Health & Wellness.
Family Life
Demi Brooke Bagby’s parents’ name are Forlan Bagby and Riza Bagby. She has two brothers named Devon and Damian as well as a sister named Desire.
