Darla Claire is not only known for her social media presence, but also for various controversies regarding her romantic life. Pro Fortnite player Cody "Clix" Conrod, who is known for being open about his relationships, posted a video with Darla on his Twitter in July 2022 with the caption “No longer a virgin”, hinting at a relationship. Later that month, they went live on Twitch with Andrew Tate, who acted as Clix's wingman, and taught him how to win her over, which helped him steal a kiss from Darla. However, shortly after the stream ended, Clix revealed that he received messages from friends and fans pointing out that he got cheated as Darla was already in a relationship with a guy named Darren, who often appeared on her TikTok videos and also acknowledged the relationship when contacted. When he raided her Instagram live to confront her, she simply stated that the two were "never really a thing".
Later in March 2023, she appeared on the video Q&A WITH DARLA CLAIRE.. are we dating? by Bryce Parker, where they confirmed that they were dating.
