Early Life
Chiara King studied acting at Sylvia Young Theatre School in 2010-11. She was studying for her degree at King’s College London when she got the opportunity to sing in front of Simon Cowell for X Factor in 2019.
Career
Chiara King started her singing career with the release of her song Dancing With Me on February 24, 2019 on her ChiaraKingVEVO channel. While she did not upload any more songs on her VEVO channel, she went on to release another single, Turn It Up, later that year. However, she gained widespread attention after she auditioned for X Factor: The Band in December 2019. While she failed the auditions, she continued to release more songs in 2020, like Stay the Night, A Mi Me Gusta (feat. Urbano Prodigy), Papi, and Coco Prada with SMOKA & Vudko, and followed up with Feel Alive and Lick It featuring Flat Bax and SUD in 2021. Her latest song, Party With A Monster, was released in March 2023 with a music video on her eponymous YouTube channel.
Chiara, who is also a trained actress, featured as the female lead in the music videos for the Punjabi songs, Ainkan Kaliyan by Rohanpreet Singh and The K.I.D.D. in 2019 and Jail 2 by Mankirt Aulakh in 2020. She further had an uncredited role as Miss Portugal Ana Maria Lucas in the 2020 British comedy-drama film Misbehaviour starring Bob Hope and Keira Knightley.
Controversy
Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Chiara King had shared a duet video on TikTok, featuring clips of her coronation and her Paddington skit, in a tearful and heartfelt tribute. However, despite her experience with negativity on social media, she was surprised to see how many of her own generation, the Gen Z, pounced at the chance to mock and ridicule her for mourning the death of the 96-year-old monarch. Within minutes, she received hateful comments from strangers who hoped that the Queen had a painful death and had gone to hell, which forced her to delete such messages and block the users for the first time in her social media career. In an article for The Daily Mail in September 2022, she blamed Netflix’s The Crown for portraying the Queen and Prince Charles in a bad light, for distorting real history, which she stated, her generation was “quick to believe and slow to fact-check”.
Family Life
Born in London, Chiara King also has Polish nationality according to her bio on Polish talent agency Casting Studio. She is in a relationship with Lebanese comedian Toufiluk.
