Caryn Marjorie Jones, better known by her online alias ‘CutieCaryn’, is a social media star who became popular for her Snapchat profile @cutiecaryn. She is also an entrepreneur who became the first influencer to launch an AI companion in her likeness, called CarynAI, a voice-based chatbot created by the startup Forever Voices and trained on 2,000 hours of her social media content. According to her Twitter update, the chatbot has earned her over 20,000 paying virtual “boyfriends”. She, however, seems to have deleted her YouTube videos and Instagram profile.

Caryn Marjorie enjoyed singing and dancing as a child. She started her first clothing company at the age of 14.
Career
Caryn Marjorie started her career as an influencer at age 15 on the livestreaming platform YouNow. As that platform lost its charm, she migrated to Instagram and YouTube and became a beauty vlogger, signing with management giant United Talent Agency. She eventually switched from a beauty YouTuber to a Snapchat star after realizing her potential to capitalize on her large male fan base. She left the talent agency and made around $1 million annually from Snapchat’s revenue sharing program, becoming the platform’s fastest growing influencer by her own account.
CarynAI
In May 2023, Caryn Marjorie appeared in news media for launching a virtual version of herself, CarynAI, a voice-based chatbot that serves as a virtual girlfriend to paying customers. The chatbot, powered by the latest artificial intelligence technology and thousands of hours of recordings of the real Marjorie, had a voice and personality close enough to her that many of her male fans were willing to pay the asking price of $1 per minute for a relationship with the bot. It offered all kinds of virtual interactions ranging from casual conversations and making plans to engaging in NSFW discussions. Launched as a private, invite-only beta test on the Telegram app in May, CarynAI charged users for a week in beta testing and generated $71,610 in revenue. It seems she has deleted or made private all of her videos on her YouTube channel, which were used to train the AI.
The news report of her AI chatbot by Fortune went viral immediately after release and contributed to a 2000% increase of usage of CarynAI. Many outlets reported how the chatbot had “gone rogue”, for engaging in sexual discussions during its interactions, which it was supposedly not expected to do. Caryn also started receiving numerous death threats from religious groups that labeled her as “evil”, stating that CarynAI “goes against god”. She forwarded any such threats to the FBI and has hired a security team, including a 24/7 bodyguard. CarynAI also stopped taking new customers for a while, although has since started accepting 500 new customers per day.
Family Life
Caryn Marjorie was born into a family with Filipino and Polish roots. She was raised alongside a sister named Linnell. She is managed by Goel Strategies and is reportedly dating the company’s founder, Indian origin entrepreneur Ishan Goel.
