Brooke Norris is an Australian YouTuber who is better recognized as the matriarch of the Norris family known online for their popular YouTube channel Norris Nuts. She appears on the channel along with her husband, former Olympic swimmer Justin Norris, and their six children: Sabre, Cerrus (Sockie), Coda (Biggy), Naz, Disco, and Charm. They also have several other channels focused on gaming, cooking, etc.
Early Life
Like her husband, Brooke Norris was a competitive swimmer in her youth and was a junior swimming champion. She also played netball. She developed a fondness for cooking since she was a child and became a chef after finishing her education. She also participated in a few cooking shows later. She worked as a radiographer before becoming a fulltime stay at home mother.
Career
Brooke Norris and her husband had originally created the channel Sabre Norris in June 2014 to document their eldest child’s journey as a competitive surfer. Sabre, who made regular appearances on Ellen: The Ellen DeGeneres Show, interviewed celebrities at the 2017 Kids Choice Awards as a correspondent on the show, which was the topic of their first video. However, Sabre soon lost interest in surfing as well as being on YouTube, following which the focus of the channel shifted towards family vlogging. The channel was initially renamed to Sabre Norris and the Norris Nuts and later to Norris Nuts.
Their main channel now mostly features vlogs and challenges where the kids compete against each other. Apart from the main channel, they also have several other channels like Norris Nuts Do Stuff, where the kids do reaction videos, DIY crafts, etc.; Norris Nuts Clips for short videos; Norris Nuts Cooking for food and cooking related videos; and Norris Nuts Gaming where the kids mostly play Roblox. The family also has channels like NN Play Town, Norris Nuts Squad and Disco & Charm Play, which are currently inactive. Brooke has appeared in most channels, although primarily features in the main vlogging channel.
Family Life
Brooke Norris’ mother is known on social media as Flizzy aka Gangster Granny. Brooke is married to Justin Norris, who won a bronze medal in the 200-meter butterfly event at the 2000 Summer Olympics. The two met through swimming when they were children. Brooke has mentioned that Justin originally had a crush on her friend, but they once kissed after "a drunk spew", following which she "made" him marry her. She and Justin have six children including Sabre (b. 2005), Cerrus aka Sockie (b. 2007), Coda aka Biggy (b. 2009), Naz (b. 2010), Disco (b. 2018), and Charm (b. 2019). The couple, who were in their thirties when they decided to have their youngest two kids, went through the IVF process. They have shared the birth video of Disco. While Brooke wanted to have one more child, she had mentioned having difficulties conceiving through IVF. She also suffered from skin cancer. Among her kids, Sabre is internationally recognized thanks to participation in sports like surfing and skateboarding.
