Brayden Whaley is an American model and social media star who, after winning the ModelHunt competition, booked many shows including the Los Angeles Fashion Week. He has worked with Vogue Thailand and was interviewed by VoyageLA. He founded an Automotive Detailing Company with a friend named Alex Vasquez. He gained popularity on TikTok during the Covid-19 lockdowns and is active on Instagram and YouTube.
Career
Brayden Whaley started his journey in Spring 2019 when he applied for the modeling competition “ModelHunt”. He was selected among Top 10 models who competed in a runway show in July and he made it to the final round, eventually winning. He subsequently booked more runway shows as well as his first big show, Los Angeles Fashion Week, in October that year. Following the show, he was approached by a talent agency which he signed with. He continued to book more jobs with companies like Vogue Thailand and also went to many auditions. Alongside his modeling career, he was active on his TikTok profile @bbraydenwhaleyy since September 2019 and gained popularity for his lip-sync, dance and fitness videos.
Unfortunately, his flourishing career came to a halt in 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic hit. The rest of the year remained uneventful for him and he was determined to chase his dreams in 2021. He decided to take “another year off of the Industry stuff” to save money so that he could move to Los Angeles. With the help of one of his best friends, Alex Vasquez, he started an Automotive Detailing Company and worked there all year long. He was able to save enough money to buy his first car and lived off of it to further budget himself. At the end of 2021, he went to a content creator event with his best friend Mohammad who had blown up on TikTok over the lockdown. There, he met up with other popular stars and was booked to appear in a music video for McKenzi Brooke.
Family Life
While not much is known about his family, Brayden Whaley has mentioned facing family hardships during the pandemic. In an interview with VoyageLA in September 2022, he talked about how grateful he was to his friend “Kenzi” and her family for helping him at the beginning of his career. He further mentioned that they bonded very well after he was allowed to stay in her house in LA while shooting for a music video for a week. Interestingly, he was romantically linked with fellow content creator Mckenzi Brooke, but they had a messy breakup as Brayden went to court in early 2023 seeking protection from her and her mother for falsely accusing him of getting physical with her in a podcast. He claimed that they ganged up on him at a party to convince him to commit to an exclusive relationship with her, and when he refused, they blocked his way, prompting him to gently move her away to leave. He reportedly also dated British actress Jaime Adler.
