Billy LeBlanc is an American social media star and US Navy personnel who gained popularity as the patriarch of the Bratayley family of the popular YouTube channel of the same name. Since his separation from his wife, Katie LeBlanc, in 2019, he has been active on the channel justbillyleblanc. He also created and manages the channel TruthPlusDare and has appeared on the personal social media posts of his daughters Annie and Hayley LeBlanc.
Career
Billy LeBlanc started appearing on the YouTube channel Bratayley, which was meant to be for his youngest child Hayley, but eventually became a family vlogging channel. The channel gained popularity particularly due to the fan base of his elder daughter Annie, who was known for her gymnastics videos on her channel Acroanna (now Jules LeBlanc). He occasionally appeared in some videos of the channels and could also often be heard from behind the camera. He created another channel, TruthPlusDare, in December 2013, in which the kids could be seen playing truth and dare, often with their audience picking the topics for the videos. The channel has since evolved from a family channel to include other kids, although it is still monitored by the Bratayley parents.
Billy LeBlanc created the channel, justbillyleblanc, on March 3, 2016, and uploaded the first video, Annie Singing Airplanes | Behind Bratayley | JustBillyLeBlanc, on September 22, 2016. Following his separation from Katie, Billy reintroduced justbillyleblanc as his personal channel on July 7, 2019 and began uploading challenge videos, carpool videos, relationship videos, vlogs and more with other YouTubers, without mentioning the Bratayley’s, apparently due to court order as per fan speculation. The Bratayley channel stopped operation on November 30, 2019, when the last video, The End of an Era (WK 465) | Bratayley, was published. He later introduced his new girlfriend Natalie Clark and began posting couples’ themed videos on his channel. He is also active on Instagram with the handle @justbillyleblanc.
Family Life
Billy LeBlanc serves in the US Navy. He was married to Katie LeBlanc, with whom he has daughters Juliana Grace (Annie/Jules) and Hayley Noelle, and had a son named Caleb, who passed away at the age of 13 in 2015 due to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a heart condition he inherited from his mother’s side of the family. As the LeBlancs coped with the loss, Billy started to appear less in the videos of their family YouTube channel by the end of the decade, resulting in speculation that there were problems in the relationship between him and Katie.
In February 2019, through an Instagram post, Katie acknowledged that she and Billy had separated amicably. The family subsequently took a hiatus from vlogging. In May 2020, Billy introduced his new girlfriend, Natalie Clark, the mother of YouTube star Julian Clark, to his YouTube subscribers. Given how quick all these developed, many fans have speculated that his divorce from Katie may have been due to cheating on his part, although there has not been any official statement regarding the same.
