Baby CJ is the son of American singer and media personality Queen Naija Bulls and her ex-husband Christopher Sails, a YouTuber. He started appearing on his parents’ joint channel Chris and Queen when he was a child, and after his parents divorced, he continued to appear on his mother’s eponymous channel and the old channel, which was taken over by his father.
Social Media Career
Being born to celebrity parent Queen Naija, Baby CJ has been in the limelight ever since he was born. He often appeared on the YouTube channel Chris and Queen, which was created by his parents in August 2016 to upload music videos for his mother’s songs, as well as regular YouTube content like pranks, challenges, and story-time videos. However, after his parents separated in 2017, most of the early videos from that channel were deleted. By that time, his mother had already made her personal channel called Queen Naija, on which she started to post all kinds of videos including makeup tutorials, story-time videos, song covers, and vlogs, and occasionally featured CJ in her videos. The Chris and Queen channel was handed over to Chris, who renamed it after him. CJ also appeared in videos on that channel and stayed in the spotlight due to his parents’ vicious fights even after their divorce.
Family Life
Christopher Jeremiah 'CJ' Sails was born to singer and YouTuber Queen Naija and her then-husband, YouTuber Christopher Sails. His parents were high school sweethearts who met at a basketball game in April 2013 and got married the next year. Queen found out she was pregnant with CJ in mid-2014, when she was 18 and was not even on speaking terms with Chris. However, she got in touch with him and they got back together, eventually marrying thinking about the complications of having a baby out of wedlock. Unfortunately, their relationship soured again in 2017 after it was revealed that Chris had an affair with another woman. They divorced the same year, following which Queen began dating social media star Clarence White in 2018. His mother welcomed a son named Legend Lorenzo with White in January 2019.
Controversies
Baby CJ surfaced on the news several times due to his parents’ bitter public fights and related controversies. In 2018, his father Chris was arrested for assaulting his then-girlfriend. In April 2020, Queen Naija took to Twitter (now X) to tell people that she needed help finding CJ shortly after it was reported that Chris was arrested for aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury. She later took to Instagram to state that her son was found safe. In May 2021, after Queen shared pictures of CJ’s kindergarten graduation, her ex-husband Chris and her sister Tina revealed that they didn’t even know about it. This earned Queen backlash from fans, following which she clapped back stating, “If we don’t speak on the regular, I’m not thinking about calling nobody for a 20 minute kindergarten graduation. Yall kill me bruh. stfu I’m getting tired of everyone”.
