Ava Michelle Cota is an alumnus of the Abby Lee Dance Company and first appeared on Dance Moms in its third season, later becoming part of the Elite Select Ensemble for the show's fourth season. In 2016, she competed on So You Think You Can Dance and gained further recognition starring in the 2019 Netflix movie Tall Girl. Ava made her debut on Dance Moms in an episode titled "The Beginning of the End" and has since amassed numerous national titles as a dancer, including being named Miss Pre Teen Galaxy International in 2014. In 2018, she visited the Famous Birthdays office, where she participated in the "Spin the Wheel" game.

Ava’s mother, Jeanette Cota, owns the Broadway Dance Academy studio in Fenton, Michigan. She had a brother named Devon and is currently in a relationship with Bryan Pearn. Ava maintains a close friendship with fellow Dance Moms star Kamryn Beck. Throughout her career, Ava has demonstrated her versatility and talent in various dance competitions and acting roles, earning her a prominent place in the entertainment industry.
