Ashley Ortega had created her original channel in July 2014 and uploaded the first video along with her then-boyfriend, Nathan Boucaud, who is also a YouTuber. In the story time video, she revealed how she lost $500 to Nathan in a bet. While she had started her YouTube journey back in Southern California, she continued to make videos after they moved to Washington, and Nathan continued to appear in almost all of her videos. They made vlogs about packing for the relocation to buying furniture for their new home. On her channel with the handle @ashleyortega7576, they also made a lot of pranks and challenge videos, even participating in the famous ‘mannequin challenge’ together.
She also made a video about Nathan buying her an engagement ring, although their relationship kept crumbling down in front of their viewers as her fans warned her about Nathan’s changing attitude. He was often seen talking rudely to her in some of her videos and pestering her for something or the other.
