Anthony Padilla is an internet sensation who initially gained fame on YouTube as part of the comedy group Smosh. He created smosh.com in 2002 and soon after teamed up with his longtime friend, Ian Hecox, whom he met in sixth grade science class. Padilla played tennis in high school and later released multiple comedy music albums through Smosh, including "Sexy Album" in 2010 and "If Music Were Real" in 2011. Although he announced his departure from the group in mid-2017, he later returned. In addition to his work with Smosh, Padilla runs a self-titled YouTube channel with over 7 million subscribers and began hosting the talk show "Throw Back with Nickelodeon" in 2019.
